Hello and welcome, I am Nadia Katasonova.

Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW
she/her/hers

My career has been shaped and enriched by working in a variety of mental health settings over the years. Since 2011, I have been primarily working with families including children of all ages as a Mental Health Worker, and since 2016 as a Registered Social Worker; mainly focusing on supporting families to overcome challenges related to parenting, conflict resolution, mental health and addiction, trauma, loss and grief, and various stressors.

My aim is to ensure the delivery of quality, family-centered, strength-based, client-focused, culturally sensitive environment with incorporation of clinical and educational knowledge. My stance is one of empathy, acceptance, and authenticity while having respectful curiosity. I emphasize common therapeutic hopes in sessions in order to draw on individuals’ strengths to respect each individual uniqueness.

The therapeutic work is a specific tailored treatment to each individual specific needs that implements a framework from various modalities (which I was specifically trained in) as required: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy, Family Systems Therapy (Level 1), Collaborative Problem Solving Philosophy , Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Attachment Theories, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Group Therapy, and Mind-Body Strategies.

My safe space is your safe space.

Whether over Zoom or in person, I feel it is important to create a safe and welcoming space for all of my clients to feel comfortable.
